TERMS & CONDITIONS

FOR BESPOKE STATIONERY ORDERS

 

  • Upon accepting any items on our quote, a non-refundable 50% deposit is required.
  • Payments can be made by Cash, Direct Deposit or Cheque (cheques made payable to P & V GIACOMAZZI).
  • The taking of a deposit on any order constitutes an authority to proceed.  Materials will be ordered and therefore, a NO CANCELLATION POLICY APPLIES. Orders are not transferable to another design.
  • Whilst every care is taken to ensure that no mistakes occur in your order, THE INVITATION STUDIO cannot accept any responsibility should information submitted to us be incorrect.
  • All original text is to be supplied to us via email.
  • Names for place cards, order of service and bonboniere must be supplied a minimum of 30 days prior to the event date.
  • Extensive formatting changes may result in delay in producing your order and meeting deadlines.
  • No alterations can be made once the client has approved the wording to any printed products/mock-up of design. Charges will apply.
  • It is the client's responsibility to proof-read any wording, mock-ups or samples, should an error be found after approval is given, it is the client's responsibility.
  • Variations betweens items are characteristic of the hand-made nature of our designs and products. Fabric invitations will display difference pattern variations and ribbon placement may differ on each invitation so that fabric design can be maximised.
  • Colour variations of invitations, ribbons and embellishments may differ depending on computer monitors. THE INVITATION STUDIO cannot be responsible for these variations.
  • All designs and ideas remain the property of THE INVITATION STUDIO and may not be used unless commissioned to V GIACOMAZZI or THE INVITATION STUDIO.
  • It is a condition of sale that THE INVITATION STUDIO details are to be shown on the back of all items ordered (please do not ask for this to be excluded as refusal may offend).
  • The purchasing of any of our designs does not constitute the right to replicate our designs and any attempt to do so may attract legal ramifications.

 

FAQ's

 

  • How much time do I need to have my stationery made?

Because each item is individually hand-crafted, please allow minimum of 6 weeks from receipt of deposit and design approval (subject to number of formatting changes) to complete your order, (ideally, 2 months would be preferred) however from October and up to the end of January, delays can be expected. To avoid disappointment (or surcharges), please don't leave your order to the last minute.

  • Am I limited to the designs you have on your website? 

Not at all!  All designs are interchangeable! Every invitation is available in any colour eg:  if you've seen an invite on our website in a square design, but want it in a business size - we'll do it that way for you.

The same goes with the colour of an invite or ribbon - if you see it in chocolate for example, but want it in ivory, - you can have it in ivory!

  •  Do you only make wedding invitations?

Not at all!  We design and create everything from invitations right through to your thank you cards and EVERYTING in between!  In a nutshell, we can design and create your:

-  RSVP's (incl matching envelope with YOUR return address)
-  Wishing Well
-  Accommodation Information
-  Map
-  Order of Service / Church Books
-  Place cards
-  Menus
-  Bomboniere
-  Bomboniere tags
-  Thank you cards (incl matching envelope)

and whatever other requirements you have, we are happy to accommodate your needs and requirements.

  • What if I want to add/remove embellishments to a design?

Consider it done!  If you see a design with a flower/bow/ribbon etc, and you don't want it there, it doesn't have to be there!  On the other hand if you see a design that doesn't have an embellishment, and you'd like it on your invitations, we'd be more than happy to incorporate it into your design.

  • Do you print in languages other than English?

Absolutely!  We've made invitations in Greek, Croatian, Italian, Hebrew, Vietnamese and so many more!  You just need to provide the wording to us in a .doc format and we'll do the rest.

  • Do you print in colour?

We only print in black as we get the best quality using laser printers.  However, if you'd like your names and/or date printed on the front of your inviteto compliment your invitation that can be done in any choice of colours (numbers limited to minimum of 75 invitations).

  • How many invitations will we need?

A rough estimate is half of the amount of guests you plan to invite.  If you plan to invite 150 guests, you'll need about 75 invitations. (This allows for families and couples).  Don't forget to calculate between 5-10 extra invites to accommodate any last minute guest.

  • Do you have a minimum for orders?

Not at all!  If it's 5 invitations you need or 500... We're delighted to be a part of your wedding day by making your invitations - there are no penalties or minimum charges for small orders.

  • Do you do packages?

We don't railroad you into purchasing items you don't need.  You only pay for what you need.  However you can expect a discount when you order all your stationery from us.  However, our "Pocket Style" invitation includes the invitation, and 2-3 inserts of your choice (this can be the RSVP, Accommodation Info, Kitchen Tea, Tea Ceremony or something of your choice that your guests should be informed of).

  • Can we get a sample invitation?

Of course you can!  A sample invitation is $20 and will have generic wording.  When you go ahead with your order, we will deduct this $20 from your order.  You can place an order for your sample invitation here.

  • When are you open / What are your hours?

Because we work from a home studio, you'll appreciate why we work by appointment only - we're happy to make your appointment for after work (usually around 7:30pm) and on Sunday's (provided we don't have family commitments ourselves). You can call us or email us to book an appointment with the details on our Contact page. 

  • Where are you located?

We're located in Blakehurst (between Hurstville and Tom Ugly's Bridge that takes you to Sylvania). Map of Blakehust.  We're sure you'll appreciate, as we work from a home studio, we'll release our address to you upon confirmation of your appointment via TXT message on the day.

  • We live too far to come and see you.

Don't let distance be a problem!  We have successfully worked with couples that we've never met in the Northern Territory, Wollongong and Melbourne.  And thankfully invitations are not fragile, so they travel easily in the mail without getting damaged.

With the ease of the internet, we work out all the wording for your stationery via emails and if necessary, we can mail you sample swatches of papers and ribbon colours.

  • How will my order be delivered?

You have a few options: By prior arrangement, you can either pick from us at:

1. Blakehurst

2. Paddington Markets on any Saturday (please let us know if this is your preference, so that we can take your order with us on the day).

3. Eveleigh Markets (1st Sunday of each month). Please let us know if this is your preference, so that we can take your order with us on the day.

4. If you are unable to pick up from us, we're happy to mail your order to you using Australia Post!

  • Do you have a DIY service?

Unfortunately, we don't.  We know you already have so much to plan to make your wedding day perfect, we take time-consuming and fiddly task of making your stationery for you off your hands!
